    Some designs stand apart, literally. HEAD Architecture’s design for two vertically-stacked apartments recalls the functions and aesthetics of temporary scaffolding to create a living space detached from the buildings around it. Looking through a glass floor onto a private garden below, the structure ingeniously defies the conventions of Hong Kong’s high rise culture.
